A powerful storm system caused major flooding and road closures in San Diego County, prompting flash flood warnings and water rescues. The storm led to flooded roadways, car crashes, and water rescues across the county, with some of the worst flooding occurring in southeast San Diego. The Red Cross opened a shelter at Lincoln High School to assist displaced individuals. Numerous major roadways were closed due to flooding, and several schools dismissed students early due to power outages and flooding. Multiple water rescues were conducted in areas where individuals were trapped in floodwaters.
