"NWS Confirms EF2 Tornado Strikes Knox County"

An EF2 tornado with wind gusts of approximately 130 mph hit West Knox County in Tennessee, causing damage to the Lovell Crossing Apartments and displacing residents of over 300 units. The tornado touched down in Hardin Valley and traveled northeast for 3.8 miles before likely dissipating around 2:23 p.m. Crews are also assessing damage in Loudon and Jefferson counties.
