Mixed Wintry Weather Expected in Central New York and Southeast Michigan

Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for Central New York, including the Tug Hill Plateau and Adirondacks, due to minor freezing rain and snow accumulation, along with gusty winds. A strong low-pressure system will bring rain, snow, and strong winds to the region. The leading edge of precipitation may bring some snowflakes before changing to rain. Freezing rain accumulation is expected to be minimal, with the highest risk of icy roads in northeastern Oswego County and Lewis County. Snow accumulation is more likely in eastern New York, while scattered rain showers are expected on Wednesday before some sunshine on Thanksgiving.
