Maine coastal communities, including Portland, experienced flooding from a powerful storm with the third highest tide ever recorded in Portland. Other affected areas included Cape Elizabeth, Camp Ellis in Saco, Old Orchard Beach, Scarborough, and Midcoast Maine communities.
