Tragic Deaths of Florida Man and Stepson During Hiking Trip in Big Bend National Park.

A man and his teenage stepson died while hiking in extreme heat at Big Bend National Park in Texas. The 14-year-old boy fell ill and passed out on the Marufo Vega Trail, while the 31-year-old stepdad hiked back to their vehicle to find help. The teen died along the trail, and officials found the father's crashed vehicle over the embankment at the Boquillas Overlook. The National Park Service advises hikers to stay hydrated and limit their exposure during extreme heat.
