Indiana Father Killed and Children Injured in Grenade Explosion

A father was killed and his two children were injured after they found a hand grenade in their grandfather's belongings and it detonated when someone pulled the pin at their home in Indiana. The explosion injured the father's 14-year-old son and 18-year-old daughter, who were taken to a hospital. A bomb squad was called to the home to secure the area and determine whether there may be additional explosive devices. Grenade detonations are extremely rare, and families are advised to call the local police if they find an explosive item they don't know how to handle.
