Historic Oak Tree Collapses on Florida Governor's Mansion, Casey DeSantis Reacts

A 100-year-old oak tree fell on the governor's mansion in Tallahassee, Florida, as Hurricane Idalia made landfall in the area. Casey DeSantis, the wife of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, confirmed that no one was injured. The mansion, built in 1907 and rebuilt in 1955, is on the National Register of Historic Places. Thousands of people were without power in Florida, and storm surge reached as high as 12 to 16 feet in some areas.
