Mitchell Bosch, a Brooklyn man, has been charged with felony counts of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. He was accused of physically resisting law enforcement officers' efforts to hold back the mob loyal to former President Donald J. Trump. More than 1,300 people have been charged in connection with the riot, and the federal investigation into the events of that day is ongoing.
