With a 4,406-foot elevation drop and 3,342 acres of terrain, Snowmass offers 98 trails and 21 chairlifts on a 12,510-foot-high mountain. Other top ski resorts include Whistler Blackcomb in British Columbia, Deer Valley in Utah, Smugglers' Notch Resort in Vermont, and Aspen Mountain in Colorado. Many resorts open for skiing in November or December.
