San Clemente Landslides Continue to Disrupt Train Service in Orange County

Rail service from Oceanside to Irvine has been suspended again due to a landslide in San Clemente, which occurred on Monday morning. The tracks near the San Clemente Pier are closed, affecting both Metrolink and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner. Alternate transportation is being provided. The historic Casa Romantica, located on the bluff just north of the pier, had previously collapsed in late April, causing the landmark to close. There is no estimate regarding how long the tracks may be closed for repairs.
