Tragic Fatality: Queens Crossing Guard Killed by Dump Truck

A school crossing guard in Queens, identified as Krystyna Naprawa, was fatally struck by a dump truck while on duty. The incident occurred at an intersection when the truck made a right turn, hitting Naprawa who was standing in a crosswalk. This marks the third incident involving a guard being struck by a vehicle in recent months. The crossing guard, who had been serving since 2010, was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck operator remained at the scene and is not currently facing charges.
