Tragic Shooting Leaves Five Dead, Including Three Children, Near South Carolina Air Force Base.

A former soldier shot and killed an active-duty service member and three children at his ex-wife's house nine miles from Shaw Air Force Base late Tuesday evening, according to law enforcement. The suspect, Charles Slacks, died by suicide following the attack, according to police. The Army is withholding the name of the 38-year-old service member who died until the next of kin is notified.
