Good Samaritan killed while helping ducks cross California street

A man in California was struck and killed by a teenage driver while trying to help a family of ducks cross a busy street. The man, identified as Casey Rivara, parked his car and attempted to shepherd the ducks across the road when he was hit by the eastbound driver. The incident is still under investigation, and the teenage driver was not arrested. Rivara was an employee at Maria Montessori Charter Academy and was driving his children home from swim practice when he saw the ducks struggling to cross the intersection.
