The blog published photos of Copeland wearing women's clothing and makeup, revealing his private life against his wishes. Copeland, who had not publicly taken any positions against LGBTQ issues, confirmed that the accounts were his and described them as a stress-relieving hobby. The revelation sparked controversy in the community, with Copeland's church referring to his behavior as "unbiblical." Copeland shot himself in front of police during a welfare check.
