Planned Parenthood North Central States discontinues iconic book sale

Planned Parenthood North Central States has announced the end of its biannual book sale, which has been running for 60 years, due to the city of Des Moines seeking to acquire the warehouse where the books are stored through eminent domain. The organization will continue to invest in sex education resources in Iowa through an endowed fund established by the sale of the warehouse, matching the dollars raised by the book sale. The final book sale will take place from October 12-16 at the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
