Drag events in Geauga County met with controversy and violence.

A drag queen brunch in Geauga County happened without incident despite the gathering of protesters and counter-protesters. Police had asked organizers to cancel the event, but it went ahead with security from across Northeast Ohio present. Following the event, a church hosted a drag show storytime and was attacked with Molotov cocktails. A suspect has been arrested and charged with malicious use of explosive materials and possessing a destructive device.
