YouTube has lifted its ban on former President Donald Trump uploading new videos, stating that it evaluated the risk of "real-world violence" while balancing the chance for voters to hear from major national candidates in the run-up to an election. Trump heavily utilized social media platforms in his successful bid for the White House in 2016, as well as his four years in office. YouTube had previously restricted him following the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, but Facebook and Twitter have also reinstated his accounts in recent months.
