Unsealed Messages Expose Rep. Scott Perry's Role in Election Challenges

A federal judge has granted the Justice Department access to nearly 1,700 records recovered from the cellphone of Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) in the ongoing criminal investigation into former President Donald Trump's attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The judge reviewed over 2,000 communications from Perry's phone and allowed access to 1,659 records while withholding 396 others. The contents of Perry's discussions with Trump's legal advisers, aides, and others were briefly revealed in a court filing last month, detailing efforts to gain access to secret intelligence, replace the attorney general, and reverse the election outcome.
