Trump Appoints Mike Waltz as National Security Adviser

President-elect Donald Trump has chosen Rep. Mike Waltz, a Republican from Florida and a Green Beret veteran, as his national security adviser. Waltz, known for his hawkish stance on China and criticism of U.S. aid to Ukraine, has served on the Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, and Intelligence committees in the House. The position of national security adviser does not require Senate confirmation.
