Trump Accused of Deliberately Misleading Attorneys in Classified Docs Probe

Prosecutors claim that former President Donald Trump lied to his attorneys about the documents he kept at his Mar-a-Lago estate. A judge ruled that investigators can break the attorney-client privilege between Trump and his lawyer Evan Corcoran, who has become a central subject of the Mar-a-Lago probe. The D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals granted a temporary stay on the ruling and requested additional material from the government and Trump’s legal team. Corcoran was ordered to comply with investigators’ request to question him regarding six different topics previously guarded by the attorney-client privilege. There are criminal investigations against Trump, and he has been advised to distance himself from Corcoran.
