"Three Democrats Join House in Censuring Rep. Jamaal Bowman for Fire Alarm Stunt"

Three House Democrats, Chris Pappas, Jahana Hays, and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, joined Republicans in voting to censure "Squad" Rep. Jamaal Bowman for pulling the fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building. Bowman had pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge and agreed to pay a $1,000 fine. The resolution, introduced by GOP Rep. Lisa McClain, was passed after a failed attempt by Democrats to stop it. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries criticized Republicans for wasting time on the motion instead of addressing pressing issues. Bowman is the 27th lawmaker to be censured by the House.
