Texas GOP Lawmaker Accused of Providing Alcohol and Inappropriate Behavior with Intern

Texas State Rep. Bryan Slaton, a Republican, is facing allegations of having an inappropriate relationship with a 20-year-old Capitol intern. Slaton is accused of inviting the intern to his Austin apartment and providing her with alcohol. The complaint has been forwarded to the Texas House General Investigating Committee. Two fellow Republicans have called for Slaton's resignation. Slaton has not responded to requests for comment, but has hired a criminal defense attorney.
