Tennessee Rep. Justin Jones attempted to carry a baby-size casket onto the Tennessee House floor to protest gun violence and call for stricter gun laws. Jones and other protesters marched to the state Capitol to protest a bill that would make it easier for teachers to carry firearms at school. Tennessee has few restrictions on guns, and no permit is required to openly or concealed-carry a handgun. Gun violence is a public health crisis in the US, responsible for more than 38,000 deaths annually.
