Steve Bannon's fraud trial set for May 2024.

Steve Bannon, former advisor to Donald Trump, will face trial in May 2024 on charges of money laundering, conspiracy, fraud, and other charges related to the "We Build the Wall" campaign. Bannon is accused of falsely promising donors that all money given to the campaign would go toward building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, instead of enriching himself and others involved in the project. Two other defendants have already pleaded guilty to federal charges, while a third was convicted and is scheduled to be sentenced next month. Bannon is free pending trial.
