St. Louis Circuit Attorney Faces Challenges and Resignation

Several St. Louis-area prosecuting attorney's offices, including St. Louis County, Madison County, and St. Charles County, have offered to help the person appointed by Missouri Gov. Mike Parson to replace St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner, who announced her resignation effective June 1. The Vera Causa Group, a prosecuting attorney consulting firm, also offered to help. The next prosecutor needs to do a quick analysis of the people and programs in the office and needs help from experienced prosecutors who can evaluate cases and set priorities.
