Special Counsel Responds to Hunter Biden's Subpoena Request, Targets Trump and Barr

Special Counsel David Weiss has strongly opposed Hunter Biden's request to subpoena former President Trump and other former officials, calling it "meritless and should be denied." Weiss argued that Biden's claims of bias and vindictiveness are baseless, pointing out that no charges were brought against him during the previous administration. He also highlighted that the charges against Biden were brought during the current administration, in which his father is the President and Merrick Garland is the Attorney General. Biden's trial for gun crimes is scheduled to begin after January 2024, and he faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
