Special Counsel Investigates Mar-a-Lago Surveillance Footage Handling by Trump Organization.

The special counsel's office is scrutinizing security camera footage from former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort as part of its investigation into the retention of national defense information and possible obstruction of the federal probe. Prosecutors have asked witnesses about the handling of the footage subpoenaed by the Justice Department last year, including who watches over it and who has access to it. The video shows boxes suspected of containing documents with classified markings being moved before and after investigators had sought to retrieve all of the potentially sensitive documents from Trump's Florida resort through a subpoena in early May 2022.
