"Senate GOP Leader McConnell Joins Ernst in Endorsing Trump for President"

Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa endorsed Donald Trump as the Republican presidential nominee, becoming the final member of the Senate GOP leadership to do so. Her endorsement comes after Trump's Super Tuesday victories and Nikki Haley suspending her campaign. Ernst previously criticized Trump's use of "hostages" to describe Jan. 6 prisoners but has now endorsed him. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell also endorsed Trump, citing his support from Republican voters and their past accomplishments together.
