Republican Senators Remain Silent on Endorsing Trump

Dozens of Republican senators have remained silent on endorsing former President Donald Trump for the GOP nomination in the 2024 presidential race. While some senators, including Lindsey Graham and Rick Scott, have officially endorsed Trump, many others believe he has already secured the nomination and see no need to endorse him. Even some of Trump's staunchest supporters in the Senate have not yet endorsed him. Trump's highest-profile endorsement came from Montana Sen. Steve Daines, who called for more Republicans to endorse Trump. The Iowa caucuses, the first contest of the 2024 primary calendar, will take place on January 15.
