Remembering Senator Dianne Feinstein: A Legacy of Controversial Positions

The late Senator Dianne Feinstein will lie in San Francisco City Hall on Wednesday for the public to pay their respects and sign a condolence book, followed by a funeral service at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center on Thursday. The service will be simulcast at City Hall for residents. After the service, Feinstein will be buried in a private, family-only ceremony. California Governor Gavin Newsom has announced that he will appoint Laphonza Butler, the first Black woman and mother to lead Emily's List, to fill the vacant Senate seat.
