Public Fatigue Grows as Biden Impeachment Inquiry Continues

A Morning Consult poll reveals that support for moving forward with the impeachment of President Joe Biden has significantly declined among independents, posing a concern for House Republicans. While 44% of voters support launching impeachment proceedings, independents' opposition has risen from 36% in September to 43% currently. Republican support has also slightly dropped by 3 percentage points. However, among Republicans who favor the impeachment inquiry, 58% believe Biden has committed an impeachable offense. House Speaker Mike Johnson is expected to narrowly pass a formal resolution for the impeachment inquiry, but Republicans have yet to provide direct evidence of wrongdoing by Biden himself.
