Poll Reveals Divided Views on Trump's Eligibility for 2024 Race Amid Criminal Charges

A Quinnipiac University poll found that 57% of Americans believe that former President Donald Trump should be disqualified from running for president again if he is criminally charged in any of the multiple federal and state investigations he faces. However, Trump still has strong support among Republicans and Republican-leaning voters, with a majority saying they would vote for him in a GOP primary. Trump is currently under criminal investigation by a special counsel for the Department of Justice in two separate probes, and by local district attorneys in New York and Georgia.
