Philadelphia Mayoral Candidates Face Tough Questions on Key Issues.

Fifth graders from Gloria Casarez Elementary School in Kensington, Philadelphia, invited nine mayoral candidates to answer their questions on issues ranging from asbestos in schools to youth development. The students asked for details on how the candidates would fix their school and make their families' lives better. They also asked what the candidates would do to clean up the streets in Kensington and stop drug usage and drug trafficking. Each candidate committed to building a new school for the students. The candidates also addressed conditions in Kensington, with some suggesting that the city government was normalizing conditions that no other zip code would tolerate.
