Vermont Governor Phil Scott has allowed a gun control bill, H.230, to become law without his signature. The bill includes safe storage rules, broadened red flag laws, and 72-hour waiting periods for gun purchases. Scott had concerns over the constitutionality of the waiting period provision, but stated that he will allow the bill to become law and await the judicial branch to decide the fate of waiting periods.
