Oath Keepers Leader Requests Leniency in Sedition Sentence.

Stewart Rhodes, the founder of the Oath Keepers militia, is seeking leniency in his sentencing for his role in the seditious conspiracy to prevent Joe Biden from becoming president on Jan. 6, 2021. Rhodes argues that he should receive a "time served" sentence out of respect for his history of "good works," including creating the Oath Keepers. However, federal prosecutors argue that Rhodes should be punished harshly for exploiting his public influence and inspiring violence to keep Donald Trump in office. Rhodes is expected to be sentenced on May 25.
