NYC Parents Protest Migrant Housing in School Gyms

Parents and school officials in New York City held an "emergency meeting" to protest against the city's plan to house migrants in up to 20 schools with standalone gyms. The first six schools appear to be in Brooklyn. Parents are concerned about the safety of their children and want them to be able to use the gym for its intended purpose. Mayor Eric Adams says the city is out of options as 65,000 asylum seekers have come through the city so far, including 4,200 last week alone. Officials say the city expects as many as 15 buses this weekend.
