Two staff members of San Diego County Supervisor Nathan Fletcher's team, Director of Policy Emily Wier and Policy Advisor Eric Rafla-Yuan, have resigned amid allegations of sexual assault and harassment against Fletcher. The resignations come as Fletcher faces a lawsuit for several million dollars filed by a former employee of the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System. Civil rights activist Rev. Shane Harris applauded the resignations and called for Fletcher to also resign. Fletcher recently resigned from his chair position with MTS and announced he was checking into an inpatient treatment center for post-traumatic stress and alcohol abuse.
