Montana Governor Signs Multiple Anti-Abortion Bills

Montana Governor Greg Gianforte signed five anti-abortion bills into law, including one that attempts to override the state's longstanding recognition of abortion rights. Planned Parenthood of Montana has filed a legal request to block one of the bills. The bills also include granting healthcare professionals the right to object to providing care they morally disagree with. The governor plans to sign more anti-abortion bills that passed the Legislature, including banning the most commonly used abortion procedure in the second trimester.
