Michigan School District Sued Over 'Let's Go Brandon' Sweatshirt Controversy

Two students from a Michigan school district have filed a lawsuit against their school district for viewpoint discrimination after they were forced to remove sweatshirts featuring the phrase "Let's Go Brandon" critical of President Joe Biden. The lawsuit seeks a court order blocking the school district's viewpoint-discriminatory ban on "Let's Go Brandon" apparel and a provision of its dress code banning students from wearing clothing that "calls undue attention" to the student. The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) is representing the students and claims that the school district is censoring students who try to express support for former President Donald Trump or opposition to President Joe Biden.
