"Maryland Hate Crime Task Force Member Suspended for Spreading False Claims about Hamas and Babies"

Maryland Attorney General Anthony Brown has suspended a member of his hate crime task force, Zainab Chaudry, after she made several antisemitic social media posts, including claiming that the babies murdered in the recent Hamas attack were "fake." Chaudry, an anti-Israel activist and director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations' Maryland office, also compared Israel to Nazis and suggested that the existence of Israel was the cause of the ongoing conflict. Brown stated that Chaudry's posts risked disrupting the work and mission of the commission and called for a draft values statement regarding personal communications by commission members. Chaudry defended her posts, accusing the Israeli government of wanting to commit genocide against Palestinians.
