Larry Elder to Run for President in 2024

Conservative talk radio host Larry Elder has announced his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election, joining a growing list of Republicans vying for the GOP nomination. Elder, who was the top Republican opponent to California Gov. Gavin Newsom during the unsuccessful recall effort in 2021, has pointed to securing the border and a lack of fathers in the home as key reasons for running. Other 2024 GOP hopefuls expected to speak at the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition this weekend include former President Donald Trump, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, and South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott.
