Kari Lake's Election Trial Takes a Turn for the Worse.

The trial of former gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, who filed a lawsuit challenging her loss to Democrat Katie Hobbs in the Arizona gubernatorial race, entered its second day with the director of elections in Maricopa County testifying that he personally checked the signatures on 1,600 early ballot affidavit envelopes to see if they were consistent with what was in a voter's record. Lake's team must prove that county workers did not verify voters' signatures on ballot affidavit envelopes, but even her own witnesses testified they participated in that work.
