Jimmy Carter's Surprise Public Appearance Ahead of 99th Birthday

Former President Jimmy Carter and former first lady Rosalynn Carter surprised attendees at the Plains Peanut Festival in Georgia, riding through the festival in a black SUV. Despite their health challenges, including Jimmy Carter's hospice care and Rosalynn Carter's dementia diagnosis, the couple remains happy and in love. The Carter Center is asking the public to upload birthday wishes for Jimmy Carter, who will turn 99 on October 1st, to be featured in a digital mosaic.
