Jim O'Neill Nominated for Deputy Secretary of HHS by Trump

President-elect Donald Trump has selected Jim O'Neill, a close associate of Peter Thiel, as the deputy secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). O'Neill, who has a background in Silicon Valley and previously served in the George W. Bush administration, will work alongside HHS Secretary pick Robert F. Kennedy Jr. O'Neill's past roles include co-founding the Thiel Fellowship and leading the SENS Research Foundation. He has advocated for FDA approval of medicines based on safety rather than effectiveness.
