Jill Biden Brings Holiday Ice Rink to White House Lawn

First Lady Jill Biden unveiled an ice rink on the White House South Lawn as part of the holiday display, recalling her childhood love for skating. The rink will be open to children of military families, frontline workers, first responders, and local school children during December. This is not the first time the White House has had an ice rink, as President Jimmy Carter and first lady Rosalynn Carter also had one built in 1980. The holiday theme at the White House this year is embracing your inner child, with 98 Christmas trees, over 142,000 lights, and nearly 34,000 ornaments.
