Jewish NYC Councilwoman Arrested for Carrying Gun at Pro-Palestinian Rally

Inna Vernikov, a Jewish New York City Councilwoman, was arrested after bringing a handgun to a pro-Palestinian protest at Brooklyn College. Vernikov, a Republican, attended the protest to repudiate the pro-Palestinian demonstrators and ensure the safety of Jewish students. However, guns are not permitted in "sensitive locations" in New York, including college campuses and protests. Vernikov, who had a license to own a gun, turned herself in to the police and was charged with criminal possession of a firearm. The incident is being investigated, and Vernikov may face further consequences.
