Jeffrey Clark, Former Trump DOJ Official, Surrenders in Georgia Election Probe

Former Justice Department official Jeffrey Clark has surrendered to Georgia authorities in connection with the racketeering case involving former President Donald Trump and 17 others. Clark, who promoted Trump's conspiracy theories about election fraud, was charged with violating the Georgia RICO Act and attempting to commit false statements and writings. He had pushed for the release of a false Justice Department letter claiming concerns about the election outcome. Clark is also an unindicted co-conspirator in a federal indictment against Trump. Trump himself turned himself in for booking on felony charges in the Georgia probe, marking his fourth arrest since April and the first time a former U.S. president had his mug shot taken.
