Jan. 6 Rioter Sentenced to 12+ Years for Attacking Police with Stun Gun

Daniel Rodriguez, who repeatedly drove a stun gun into Michael Fanone's neck during the Jan 6th Capitol attack, has been sentenced to 12.5 years in prison. Fanone called for an indictment against Donald Trump, saying he was focused on the leader who convinced Rodriguez and his friends that the 2020 election was stolen and must be taken back by force. Rodriguez, who pleaded guilty to injuring an officer with a dangerous weapon and three other felonies, disputed that the device he used was dangerous or a weapon. Fanone suffered a traumatic brain injury and a heart attack, losing consciousness for two minutes.
