Iowa Official's Wife Convicted in Voter Fraud Scheme to Manipulate Elections

Kim Phuong Taylor, the wife of an Iowa county supervisor, has been convicted of 52 counts of voter fraud in a ballot-stuffing scheme aimed at helping her husband secure the Republican nomination for Congress in 2020. She was found guilty of providing false information in registering and voting, fraudulent registration, and fraudulent voting. Taylor targeted voters of Vietnamese heritage with limited English comprehension, filling out and signing election forms and ballots on their behalf. Her husband ultimately lost the primary but won a seat on the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors. Taylor faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison for each count.
