House GOP pushes for contempt proceedings against FBI Director Wray over Biden allegations.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer has announced that his panel will start proceedings to hold FBI Director Christopher Wray in contempt of Congress after the FBI refused to hand over an unclassified record to the committee. The record allegedly describes an allegation that Joe Biden accepted a bribe as vice president. The FBI and Brady reviewed the allegation when it was made in 2020 as well as other information about Biden’s son Hunter Biden’s dealings in Ukraine, but the bribery allegation was not substantiated. The White House has criticized the investigations, arguing the probes are politically motivated and designed to hurt Biden’s re-election chances.
